Vision Critical may have had a great year but the good times are over, the word is they recently laid off a bunch from their research and development department due to potential finical difficulties. Now I am sure most Tech companies are feeling the pinch in these current bleak economic times but to give the Canadian New Media Awards - Company of the Year, to a work environment that puts on a bunch of new hires to turn around and lay them off only months after they started.... Now I am sure that the decision makers did what had to be done to balance the books and keep the doors open but being forced into that situation in the first place really does beg the question, is Vision Critical 'Company of the Year' worthy? Judges, make sure you do your research before making your decision.
