CTV and TELUS today announced a new initiative that will give TELUS wireless customers access to some of CTV’s top programming via mobile video streaming.  News clips from CTV and BNN, sports highlights from TSN and RDS in addition to content from eTalk, MuchMusic, MTV, Comedy Network, Daily Planet and Fashion Television are included in the new streaming video-on-demand service.

“We’re proud to work with TELUS in providing their customers with quick and easy access to the shows they love,” said Stephan Argent, CTV’s Vice-President, Digital Media. “This new initiative fits perfectly with our commitment to providing consumers access to quality content whenever and wherever they want it. Given the significant growth of high speed wireless networks and Smartphones, there’s no question that mobile video will play a role in delivering on this promise.”

CTV becomes TELUS’ first content provider for its new streaming video-on-demand service which will be available to wireless customers with monthly subscription packages or a la carte.
