A handful of organizations are collaborating to present the 2009 Private Equity Symposium on March 3rd at the MaRS Centre in Toronto, with live video-broadcasts into Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

The Private Equity Symposium is a collaboration between CVCA - Canada’s Venture Capital & Private Equity Association, Financial Executives International Canada (FEI Canada), the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CICBV) and Toronto CFA Society. In its fourth year, this symposium provides an excellent opportunity for financial executives to network with colleagues from all sides of the private equity market.

The half-day symposium should provide a forum to discuss critical economic and business issues impacting today’s private equity practitioners - everyone from venture capitalists to academia. The event organizers have put together a great list of speakers including John Albright of JLA Ventures and Eric Berke of TorQuest Partners Inc.
